Comedy Workshop

You're funny, you get some laughs and chuckles from the audience but you know there are a few ingredients missing to hit it big with the crowd.

Tammy has worked in the comedy industry for over 25 years and knows what it takes to work a crowd. In this workshop you will learn the fundamental principals of comedy as well as discover different techniques Tamara has learned throughout her career to use in your routine.

It is imperative that you follow each module all the way through to get a solid understanding of the material. If you want to get the most out of this workshop we highly recommend the instructor-led option as it will allow you to receive real-time feedback from Tamara herself.

You can be stylishly late for a party.  But if you’re late with a punchline, it’s never stylish.  No matter your pace or your personality, in these courses you will learn techniques that will allow you to deliver your punchlines right on time.  You’ll learn to recognize the natural rhythm and flow of your delivery.  You’ll learn to write and deliver a 7-minute set that builds steadily to a final crescendo of laughter, leaving the audience wanting more.

Stand-up comedy is a dialogue with the audience, except you’re the only one talking.  Ideally.  In these courses you will learn how to turn this unruly dialogue into one you can control.  Or at least influence.  And enjoy.

If you know who you are before the audience does, you already have some stage presence.  Learn to know what you want before you go on.  Don’t go on just hoping for laughs.  Go on knowing that you and the audience are about to have a good time.

Presence

You are not alone.  Fear of public speaking is humanity’s number one fear, edging out even death.  It’s  the only thing human beings agree on.  In these courses you will not learn to make your fear go away.  You will learn to bend it to your will, to use that nervous energy for your own purposes, and to tell that nagging voice in the back of your head that tears you down all the time to shut up and listen.
